Why East Tennessee?

This is the question that most people who move from a different state - or from a different country - have been asked when they announce to their friends that they are moving to East Tennessee.

And that is the question that my husband and I were asked too!

After visiting this area with my husband, his name is Tom, seven years ago and establishing our "Home Sweet Home" here shortly afterwards, I have a ready answer:

• Great climate with four distinct seasons;

• Friendly people;

• Easy access to interstate highways;

• A beautiful and strategically located airport, McGee Tyson, only 30 minutes far;

• Wonderful views with mountains and lakes;

and,

• Compared with many US cities, a low cost of living!

The truth is that my husband and I, as well as many other people living in this area, agree that moving here was one of the best decisions we ever made. We're very fortunate to call this fantastic place "Home".

I can only say "I’m thrilled to live East TN".
